Hi PAWS Chicago,
Waveland is doing great! Stella and him are best friends! They are always playing and even sleeping next to each other. Thanks for checking in have a good morning!
Best regards, Katie Hammers

Lisa Marie is doing well. She is getting plump and finding her way around here at the Watson home. My other kitten, Flood, and Lisa are finding their way together as well. Sometimes they are clinging and other times they seem to have their differences. However, the two of them have integrated nicely and hate to be separated from one another. Thanks for everything and I hope you have a wonderful holiday! - Melanie Ann Watson

Thank you, PAWS Chicago, for everything. Levi and Orson, now known as Felix and Oscar, are doing well. They are little eating machines that never seem to tire of pestering each other and me, especially at 3:00 a.m. when we are all awake. I'm very entertained. Thanks so much!
- Caroline Overman

Hello PAWS Chicago,
I thought I'd give you an update on Big Jim (now renamed Charlie). I have attached the Lougee Christmas photo (Lauren, Paul, Alan with Charlie, and Janet). We are all in love with this dog and what a difference he has made as a new addition to our family. I know that this dog came in to your place as a sick puppy part of a large litter. It must be the way you handled him
because this dog is full of so much love and affection. Thank you PAWS! Our hearts go out to you as you care for these precious animals. Best wishes for a great holiday.
- The Lougee Family

Hi PAWS Chicago,
Marvin is a member of the family and has been from the moment he entered the house. He's a wonderful cat, and we love him very much. He is a keeper.
- Dick & Dennie

Hi PAWS Chicago,
Well Lucky is doing just fine. He has captured our hearts in so many ways. It is a joy to have him. The cats have finally decided that he is not a threat and everyone gets along. He loves to sleep above anything else and trying to get him up in the morning is like trying to get a 6 year old up. He's just hilarious sometimes. He also loves the snow which is something our husky's didn't so it's neat to see him
nuzzling and chasing the snow! He really has fit in well. I have taken pictures and will send those over in another email. Thanks again, Geri Leland

Hey PAWS!
Ilene & Cher are doing fantastic! We've changed their names: "Ilene" is now Marlene and "Cher" is Carol. They've about doubled in size since we got them, and they're incredibly energetic and sweet. And, despite being from different litters, they're the absolute best of friends now and are rarely apart. Thanks, Amber Achilles Ritter

Hi PAWS!
Everything is going just fine. Sassi is doing well. I think she is just a great cat and am so glad I was able to find her. She is a great addition to my household and believe she is a happy cat and likes where she is and that of course makes me happy as well. Thanks so much!
- Danielle Martinez

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Hi! Zoe (formerly known as Cassie) is doing really well. She has fit in very well in our home and loves the snow.
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi PAWS Chicago,
Ditka (left, now named Katyusha) and McMann (now named Katrina) are doing very well and settling in nicely to their new home. They are very loving, sweet and full of kittenish fun! Thank you for rescuing them and bringing them into my life!
- Roz Francis

Hi PAWS,
Link & Bean (PAWS names Erik & Turtle) are a great addition to our family. They are growing every day! Happy Holidays!
 - Cara & Brian

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Life is going great with Fulton. We really enjoy having him. I think he has adjusted to living with us. He is very affectionate and usually well behaved. We are halfway through the basic training course at K-9 University. He is doing very well in the class. Fulton wore his new t-shirt for Halloween. For Thanksgiving, we went to South Carolina and he had some fun on the beach. Thanks so much! - Stanton Anderson

Hi PAWS,
My cats have been renamed: Elder is now "Buddy Duffy" and Boo is "Holly Golightly." They are sweet kitties, with Holly being the shy one of the pair. The two of them are getting big and LOVE mealtimes! They run up and down the hall all night long, playing tag and chasing toys, and then settle in for a cuddle with
"mom" in the early morning hours. Thank you so much for your work rescuing animals. I don't like to think of my kittens on the street, fending for themselves. It makes me that much happier that I'm giving them a secure and loving home. Best regards, Kathie

Hi PAWS,
We adopted Luke Skywalker (one of the Star Wars puppies) at the end of August. We have changed his name to Buddy. He recently completed Puppy Class Graduation classes. He was very good in class, and the instructor always picked him out for demonstrations because he is so smart. He is a great addition to our family. When we take him for walks along the lake we are always stopped and asked where we got such a good looking dog. He is very friendly with everyone he meets on his walks. We were surprised about how little he barks! The only time he barks is when he
has a very good reason to do so. We were very happy to adopt a dog and we always recommend PAWS as a great place to find a good pet when we talk to people about our little Buddy. We could not have found a better dog. Thanks again.
- Andrew, Rebekah, and Lydia Hanley

Hi PAWS Chicago!
The PAWS dog we adopted named Ann is now known as Gracie Ann. Interestingly enough, what PAWS thought was a Maltepoo, our vet has determined is probably an Italian Grehound/Poodle mix! What fun! Is that a Groodle? Or an Italian Poodle? No matter what, she is adorable. She's a year old now and can be very mischievous and playful one minute, then docile and sweet the next. She loves her rope and stuffed animal toys
the most. A Nylabone keeps her happy chewing for hours. Finally, she's mostly house trained, although going potty out in this snow and cold isn't her favorite. Our family is home most of the time, so she normally is only crated at night and then a couple of other times a week. She loves each one of us and gives us such joyful greetings when we return home or get her out in the mornings. She looks very different from the little Raggedy Ann that you rescued this summer. We are thankful that we can give her a happy, loving home and we are thankful for all of the loyal love she gives to us. Many Blessings, Donna Hayden

Hello PAWS Chicago,
Mystique (PAWS name Divya) and Nym (PAWS name Asha) are doing well. They are running all over the place playing with each other and are taking a big interest now in the Christmas tree I just put up. They play really well together and get along just fine.
- Danny Bryant

Hi PAWS,
Madeline and Sicilia are doing fine. Sicilia loves to explore all the nooks and crannies of my apartment. One of her favorite spots for an afternoon nap is under the covers of my bed. Madeline really is a talker; she never misses an opportunity to let me know how she is doing. She likes to give me a polite little tap with
her paw when she thinks I'm not paying her enough attention. They both seem to be doing fine. Hope things are well over there! - Tom Dorrance

Hi PAWS!
Hogan (now known as Spazz) and Barry Manilow (now known as Bazz) are adorable little guys. Spazz has some hearing issues but seems to have adapted well to his new surroundings. He is the most loving cat, very affectionate, and loves to cuddle. He's so funny to watch as he grows into his long neck and big ears! Bazz is affectionate on his own terms. Hee likes a cuddle at the times he deems it appropriate. He's the really naughty, inquisitive one who is into every open cupboard and behind every
door. The really gorgeous thing is seeing them together though. When Spazz can't see me or Bazz, but knows we're somewhere in the apartment, he lets out an almighty yowl and whatever Spazz is doing, he stops and goes to his rescue, just to let him know we're there! It's adorable. My favorite though is waking up in the morning to find one of them curled up in the crook of my arm and the other on top of my head with both purring loudly. They've certainly taken over as the bosses of the house! Thanks again. - Louise Falp

Hi PAWS,
Little Shadow has been rechristened Edgar (after Poe, because one of my favorite short stories is The Black Cat) and has quickly settled in with my older kitty Rooster. I wouldn't say that they're best friends yet, but the integration has been painless and they grow closer every day. Edgar has been a great addition to the household because now I don't worry so much about spending long hours at the office. He and Roo spend hours chasing
each other about my apartment, so at least I know they're keeping each other company and getting plenty of exercise. It's also nice to come home to them because as soon as they're done with their dinner, Roo will curl up right next to me while Edgar insists on being on top of me. Roo also likes to sleep under the blanket and Edgar likes to curl up to her on top of the blanket. It's been fun watching the two of them interact. Thanks for the great kitty. Hopefully we'll have years of fun together. Thanks  - Liz Gillespie

Arlene's new name is Alba and she is doing fantastic! She is growing so fast and already calming down. She is so much fun and so loving! Her new thing is the Christmas tree - how exciting! I bring her over to my friends for sleepovers with their kitties and they all get along great and play 'round the clock. She is always happy to come home though and sleeps for hours on end upon return. She also has a weird obsession with water; she absolutely loves the shower and bath tub! Thanks! - Allison Blemberg

Hello PAWS!
Oh Zannie, Zannie, Zannie...this girl! First of all, she is so cute. Robin at PAWS was great and helped us a lot. We just moved last week and Zannie is being introduced to the other 5 cats that live in the house. She is too cute. Thanks!
- Emily

Hi PAWS,
We love Lorna, and we are so happy she is part of our family! We thought quite a bit about new names but at the end of the day we fell in love with her as Lorna and decided we should keep it that way. She has already grown just within the past 2 weeks. As you can see she still loves chewing on just about anything, including her new toy. She seems to like it here where she gets to play with a lot of dogs in our building and loved meeting
all the other dogs in our first puppy class as well. Thank you again for all your help in bringing Lorna to us. Sincerely, Matt & Elana Schuman

Hello PAWS,
I wanted to let you know Scooter (PAWS name Theo) is doing great in his new home. He brings a ton of joy into our lives! Attached is a picture of Scooter and my little niece, Sydney. They are BFF!
Regards, Alicia Olvera & Sean Young

Dear PAWS Chicago,
First of all thanks so much for helping Adam and I find Sal. He is really a wonderful little guy. We are enjoying having him around. Sal likes meeting the people in our neighborhood especially all the kids who stop to say hello when we go for our walk in the morning. He also enjoys learning new things in our training time in the afternoon when I take a break
from working and we have "Mommy and Sal" time. In the evening we go together to pick Daddy up at work. He is definitely a car dog! Seamus, our cat, seems to be accepting Sal into our family. She keeps her distance but is moving closer and closer each day. Just wanted to send an update and let you know how things are going here. Thanks so much! - Jasmine Busch

Hello PAWS Chicago,
Sophie (PAWS name Sage) is a wonderful young lady. Sophie loves to take car trips, short or long, and even had a great time camping with the family for a week over the summer! She has adjusted well to her feline sisters; it's too bad they don't exactly feel quite the same just yet. Sophie LOVES to garden, including eating the crops (she says the peas were really good this year). I guess we have to take her word for it, we only had
a couple left after she got to them! Needless to say we LOVE our new family member. Thank you so much for bringing us together. - The Gilbertson Family

Hello PAWS,
Indy (PAWS name Rim) is wonderful. He just returned from training today. He went to Linker Learning Center for Dogs in Battle Creek, MI. for a couple of weeks. He is doing great and everyone loves him. We adore him and look forward to many years with him as part of our family. Thank you!
- Sandy & Greg Welch

Hello PAWS,
We are so grateful to PAWS for rescuing dogs and puppies from Waveland, Mississippi that were left behind after Hurricane Katrina and for giving us the opportunity to give Harrison a home. We think our Harrison is the cuddliest and most handsome guy ever. Although he doesn't realize that 40-some pounds is a little big for a lap dog, we wouldn't want it any other way. He holds an extra special place in my heart because I have
relatives whose home in Waveland survived the storm. We can't wait to bring him back down there someday to run along the beach! Thank you PAWS for the wonderful work you do. Regards, Kate Finerty & Kevin Hardy

Hi PAWS,
I wanted to let you all know that Monty (PAWS name Chief) is doing fantastic. He is so well socialized and has great manners at home. He hasn't had one accident, nor has he chewed anything he wasn't supposed to (fingers crossed!). He loves his new neighborhood and has a BUNCH of pals. He also likes the horses down the block, but sadly they don't seem to be too interested in him! He is very well natured and is very popular in the
neighborhood. Everybody knows and likes him. As a PAWS alumnus, he represents you guys well. Thank you very much! - Jeff Binder

Dear PAWS Chicago,
We've been very busy with Moe, with dog training, and with moving into our new house. Everything is going great. Moe has just graduated from a Beginner Education training program and is doing fantastic at home. We're so happy with him!
Thanks, Sonia Aguilar

Hey PAWS!
It was nice visiting with you and your colleagues. As you can see, Jazmine is still doing fantastic!
Best Wishes, Matthew Tuttle
