Hey PAWS Chicago,
Our PAWS cats Rowlf and Piggy are now named Cozmo and Ruby, and they are doing great! They are like my little dogs; they greet me at the door and follow me all around the apartment. :) I love them! Cozmo (Rowlf) is the more adventureous and cuddly one. Ruby (Piggy) likes to be pet but not cuddled and is the stubborn one. They love playing together , play fighting, and they even lick each other's tails. It's so cute! - Mandy

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Fozzie now has a new full name of Noodles Al Fredo. He is doing GREAT! He is a wonderful pet and gets along fantastically with our other cat, Zippy. I've attached a picture o Noodles zonked out with a little fuzzy friend. He is always either sleeping like this or running around at 150mph like maniac! We are so lucky to have him! Thanks so much PAWS!
- Walter Goller

Hi PAWS,
Tate is now known as Wilson. He is a sweet boy and is very happy here
with his new brother, Cooper. Thanks and see you soon!
- Jill Greenberg

Hello PAWS,
Philly and Vegas have adjusted very well and with lots of TLC, have grown into gentle, loving little girls. Both girls have shown a particular gentleness towards my seven year old son. Vegas is a bit shy around strangers but there is nothing Philly loves more than when my son's friends come over to play. She has to be right in the middle of things and it's interesting to watch these young boys (many of whom have never been
around cats) react to her enthusiastic affection. Regards, Michelle Christie

Dear PAWS:
I have enclosed a photograph of Maggie, my feisty, interdependent kitty whom I named after the woman in the movie "Steel Magnolias." When I adopted her from PAWS, the name she has was Estrella. She likes to rest under the kitchen table in the warmth of my atrium kitchen eating area. My family and I are enjoying having Maggie with us. Thank you. Sincerely, Judy Devlin

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Hello! Millie Sparkles (PAWS name "Bertha") is doing great! Her fur has grown out and she looks very different than she did three months ago. Her human brother and sister love her so much! Thanks!
- The Robinson Family

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Here is picture of Gracie (PAWS name Nana) and her roommate, Daisy. They are getting along great! Daisy is getting a lot more exercise these days thanks to Gracie coming into our family. Then again, so am I! Daisy is a rescue dog also, she came from Magnificient Mutts a couple of years ago. Gracie is definitely the clown in the
family though. We are so happy she came to be with us. Thanks again!
- Bonny, Daisy & Gracie

Hi PAWS Chicago,
Chula is doing marvelous!! She's thrilled to have a brother to play with (our other dog named Mickey Finn, who is a 6 month old male, apricot miniature poodle) and she is enjoying her new life with her daddy, Tommy and myself. Thanks for everything! I'll be sure to let Chula know you guys are thinking about her.
- Roseann Saldana

Buddy is now known as Jake, and he is doing great! I'm so thrilled to have him with me. I've attached a picture of him playing his favorite game - fetch. He also enjoys another favorite pastime, which includes chasing the sprinkler water. This pastime has caused him to be a big hit in the neighborhood! We also just started obedience school - more likely for my benefit more than his. Thanks so much!
- Linda Kurtos

Hey PAWS!
George Washington Tomaw (PAWS name Alex) is doing well. He has committed to not being interested in any of the toys we buy for him. He also seems to only want to drink water out of the running faucet, toilet or our very own drinking glasses. We give him his own water but he does not try to drink it. Also, we recently put new sheets on our bed. We think these sheets are very soft, and
apparently he does do. He is quite impressed with them so much so that we have to sleep around wherever he lies. He's a great cat!  Thanks, Jacob

Hi PAWS,
We opted for a name change so Scraps is now known as Luke and is doing very well. He's really enjoying his new home with a plethora of toys and a new scratching post. He follows my husband and me around daily asking to be pet (even though he is pet constantly, trust me!). My favorite thing is his purr - he sounds like he's snoring because it is so loud! Luke also received tons of new toys from the goodie bags my mom and I got
from walking in the PAWS 4k Run/Walk event. We just went for a trip to the vet for a checkup since Luke has FIV. He's doing great and he behaved so well during his check up and nail trimming.  Everyone was amazed! I've attached a picture of him sporting his new Coach collar (yes, he's spoiled). Thanks so much! - Amanda & Michael Zink

Hi PAWS,
Link & Bean (PAWS names Erik & Turtle) are doing great!
We are attaching an updated picture for the alumni page.
Thanks,
Cara & Brian

Dear PAWS Chicago,
As you can see, Sparty (PAWS name Spartacus) likes to look out into the back yard at the birdies, squirrels, and now bunnies. Catnip grows in the back yard, so when I harvest some and he always goes wild. My other cat Sunny has grown accustomed to seeing him around. They now race through the house and chase each other. Everything is going great! He is a gentle cat who does not have any hang ups. When I watched him at
PAWS, he walked around and greeted everyone. He has such a great outlook on life that I knew this was the cat for me! Thank you very much for bringing us together! - Jo Ann Ofenloch

Hi PAWS!
We have renamed Suri. Her new name is Princess Paws and she is doing great! She loves us and we love her so very much. She is the most well behaved cat we ever have had. Thanks again!
- Laura Beth

PAWS,
Things are going well with Zoe (subsequently changed from her PAWS name Cassie). She has just started puppy pre-school and has fit in very well in our home.
Thanks,
Ryan Norwick

Hi PAWS,
Punky is wonderful! We knew we chose the perfect dog when she crawled into my lap at the PAWS event. She is currently enrolled in an 8-week puppy class and has about 2 weeks left. She already knows all of the basic commands. She is so well-tempered and loves to cuddle. She also loves to play with the other dogs at the park. She is already about 22 lbs! She is up to date on all of her shots, rabies shot, and she is now on
her heartworm preventative routine meds. We are having a blast. Thank you. Stacey Seidler

Hi PAWS!
Clark and Addison Howe (PAWS names Chopin and Gershwin) are doing TERRIFIC! They are best buds and couldn't be more fun. We're madly in love with them and they with us. Enjoy the picture of our darling boy and girl!
- Susan and Willie Howe

Hello PAWS Chicago,
I renamed Junior. His new name is now Milo, and he is doing fantastic.
I have had no problems with him. He is growing up so quickly and is so
healthy. He is so cuddly and sweet. He is always waiting for me by the
door when I am home from work. I know this is strange but he loves
running water. He loves it so much that he will even jump in the shower
while someone is in it! Every time he hears the faucet on, he will run
over to it. The silliest best one is that he loves to watch the toilet flush! I finally decided to buy him a running water machine for pets and he loves it. He also loves to take rides in the car so I always take him with me to run errands. My friends and family simply adore him. Oh yeah, and Milo is going to be a lobster for Halloween! Thanks so much! Sincerly, Francesca and Milo

Hi PAWS,
Chun Lee is doing great. She is so sweet smart and such a good dog.
Her legs are so long so she can run really fast! She listens well and is
great with my kids. We all just love her so much.
Thanks again!
- Carol

Hi PAWS Chicago,
I wanted to let you know Penelope is doing great! We're so happy to
have her. She just graduate from Collins Canine dog classes. I'm
attaching a photo of our girl with her daddy. :)
Thanks,
Allison & Neil

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Bonnie has been wonder. We changed her name to Lilo (from the movie Lilo and Stitch). Lilo has brought my mom and I closer together. She continues to make friends everywhere I take her and has been great in doggie training school. Thank you so much for bring Lilo to us!
 - Tia

Hi PAWS Chicago,
Kosmo is doing great! He's very spoiled and quite a good office
assistant. He comes to work with me almost every day and works diligently on recruiting great volunteers for the PAWS Chicago volunteer program. Kosmo loves people, dogs, and even the occasional cat. He will win over anyone with lots of smooches and love. He loves to play with his "Uncle Bud" as we call him - my parent's adopted PAWS dog. We can't
remember life before Kosmo - he is such a part of our family now.  Thanks! : ) - Angela Powell

Dear PAWS Chicago,
My cat Prince is doing very well, thank you. I am so happy to have him with me. He's a very handsome kitty, as you can see from his picture.  I can't wait to see him posted on the alumni page! Thank you!
- Amy Collins

Hi PAWS, Hope (PAWS name White Tiger) is doing great, and she is a wonderful addition to our family. She is still pretty timid but loves our other cat, Sam. It has taken her a while to get used to us, but she is coming around and will rub on my leg when she needs some attention or if she needs a treat. :) She is still a little shy of men and visitors but that is to be expected. I love the attached picture where she looks like she is smiling! We love her so much and we are very thankful that PAWS helps out
animals like our baby Hope. Thanks so much for everything!  - Julie Luketich

Dear PAWS,
Hi! Thank you so much for allowing Luna (now Buehrle) into our home. She is doing fantastic!! She LOVES car rides, especially long ones to the northern woods. She also loves boat rides, especially when she is helping us fish. She is still trying to figure out the cats in our house, but she seems to enjoy playfully chasing them. Buehrle touches the hearts of everyone she meets. They say she is just the sweetest and cutest dog
ever. She is wonderful companion and so great to come home to (even if she does slobber all over you!). She is an incredible addition to our family and we love her!  Thanks again!
- Jenny and Mike Adams

Hello PAWS,
I just wanted to write and say that after a month, Cassie (whose PAWS name was Lula) and Samson (PAWS name: Ryder) are doing just fine.  They get along great and are enjoying their new home.
Thank you!
- Sue Zindle

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Carlton has settled into our home nicely. He loves fetching toys, doing laps full speed up and down the hallway, and running his paws under running water at the sink and bathtub! He also enjoys lying with his other feline brother in bed, sleeping in the sunny window sills, and watching the fish aquarium screen saver. He is a delight to have around and keeps us laughing! We're sure glad he came to live with us! - Amy Dyer

Magic is doing so well! When she first came home with me she was a shy girl who stayed to herself and avoided attention. Now she is a true social queen - she loves splashing in her fountain water bowl and has taken to sleeping with me at night. She is a sweetheart but also a true woman who knows her mind and isn't afraid to speak it with a "meow, meow!" Thanks again for introducing Magic to me! I can't imagine life without her!
 - Leah Callison

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Hi! Milly is so cute! One of her favorite activities is licking our noses at 2:00 a.m! All of my friends say they want her. She also loves to play with Laura, our other 5-year-old cat. They are actually starting to get along now. Milly kind of has the head at least in the food department though! They race to see who can eat the fastest and then who ever finishes first tries to push the other one away. Milly also really likes my stuffed
animals. She sleeps on my top bunk every once in a while with them. She also likes to snuggle on my mom's chest and my dad's arm pit, to stay warm. Once when my dad was laying on the bed he had his arm in the shape you would cradle a baby in and she slept right there! She also likes to sneak and knock things off counters and claw the stereos. We're going to get a really good scratching post and put it next to the stereo so maybe she'll switch. Thanks again!
- Ellyn Butler and Family

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Riley (PAWS name Olive) is doing great. She has lots of energy and loves to run, play fetch, chase birds and squirrels, and carry around and play with sticks. She always wants to meet everyone and likes to play with other dogs at daycare and at the park. Plus, she also loves to play with our cat Washington. She is our little shadow and loves to spend time with us. Riley is very sweet and smart and will be starting
training classes soon (she already knows sit, shake, and down). People constantly comment on how cute she is! She is irresistible and hard not to spoil. We love Riley and couldn't imagine life without her. Thanks for everything and for all of the wonderful work that you do!
- Emily and Dustin

Dear PAWS,
Monaco is doing well. I renamed him Jack Sparrow and he makes a great companion for my other cat Emmy. Thanks.
- Christina

Hello PAWS Chicago,
Our little Pria is doing just great. We couldn't be happier with her. She greets us at the door when we get home and loves to fetch with her toy mouse. We never have had any litter box or scratching problems. We really lucked out with her! Thanks for checking up on us!
- Christine Perry

Hi PAWS Chicago!
Dylan is thriving. He's very active and loves to climb the two cat trees we got for him. He also loves to chase after any toy with feathers. He is getting along with our other two cats, and he and Filfil (the younger of our other two cats) are even starting to play nicely together! Everyone who meets Dylan loves him. He's getting to be quite full of himself. :-) Dylan loves to sit up on my dresser and look in the mirror, as shown in the picture. I think when he
looks in the mirror, he sees a lion. He's a great little guy. :-)  Alexandra Murdoch

Hi PAWS Chicago,
The kitten formerly known as Morgan is now named Sam, as in Samantha. She is growing and doing great. Thanks so much!
- Chuck Janczy

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Dexter (PAWS name Jake) is doing fantastic and is a valued family member. I actually don't even remember life before Dex! My thanks to everyone at PAWS.
- Sally Kovler

Dear PAWS Chicago,
I wanted to let you know Cousin It is now known as Cooper. We could not be happier with him! He is as sweet as can be. He is a wonderful addition to our family and is such an easy puppy! Here are some pictures of our happy boy! Thanks so much!
- Anne Eaton

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Thank you so much for your interest in our adoption. Wendy, the cat, is doing just fine. She has become more active and playful with each passing day. I have attached a picture of her sitting at her favorite window looking at the birds and squirrels outside.
- Steven Daugherty

Hello PAWS Chicago!
Penny and Pinky are doing great! They are now 6 months old, but they haven't lost their kittenish enthusiasm and exuberance. They are playful as ever. The attached picture was taken when they were four months old.
- Marci Santos

Hi PAWS!
The kitties are doing great! Blackberry (now Henry) just found out how much he loves being brushed and groomed. He'll try to bite the brush at first, but then he lays back and enjoys it. Gameboy (now Monty) enjoys playing with toys on strings. He'll also lay right on your chest if you're not paying enough attention to him. They're both the most loving, cuddly cats I've ever seen. They are also the most playful! They definitely keep life
interesting, that's for sure. My roommate and I love them so much!  Thanks, Megan

Hi PAWS Chicago,
Princeton, now called Bigfoot, is doing well. He and Jocko (my tabby that is half Bigfoot's size) have reached a state of truce and calm coexistence. They've finally realized that there's enough food, love, attention, and high perches for everyone. Thanks!
- Annette

Hi PAWS,
Himeros is doing great! We did change his name to Frodo. He is a great addition to our family. He and our other cat, Arwen, are great friends. They keep each other company, play together, sleep together, and, of course, have their little tiffs here and there. He greets me every morning when I wake up and every evening when I come home from work. Frodo is very vocal and loves all the attention he gets. He lets
us know when he's ready to play by bringing us his shoelace, which is just so cute! I can't tell you how great it is having him with us. We all love him lots. I am including one of my favorite pictures of him. It was taken about 2 months after we got him home. When we saw him and Arwen cuddled up together sleeping we were all very happy to see that he was comfortable and happy to share our home with us. Thanks for everything!! - Lisa

Dear PAWS,
Egon Sharif (formerly "Sargeant") is, I think, loving life with us. He gets
lots of walks down by the lake, and is a very social dog, accompanying me to the fashionable outdoor cafes in Andersonville, where he gets lots of love and attention from not only me but from everyone around him. This dog is a dude magnet - why did I not get him when I was single? No worries, my husband, Naeif, is very attached to him as well. As for me: well, this dog is something else. I absolutely adore him! He is the love of my dog life! ;-)  Erika (and Naeif)

Denver is doing great! We now call him Little Guy or Baby, and he is very spoiled and loved. His favorite things to do are play with his toy mice and take a nap in his big new bed with his brother. Because they love to sleep together, we bought them a dog bed! One thing he loves to do is drink water out of a baby bottle! Attached is a picture of him after his bottle. We are so happy to have him in our lives!!
Love, Brian, Tiffany, Rocky, & Little Guy

Hi PAWS Chicago,
Sterling is doing great! Even in the past couple months we've seen improvement. She was so scared and introverted when we were first fostering her. Now she just can't get enough pets and head rubs. She "talks" all day long and even has started engaging in play (before when we tried to play with her she'd look at us like we were crazy!). We found out she loves playing with string. She's also in the habit of hanging out
wherever we are in the house and always comes to say good night before sleeping in her own cozy cat bed. When we were fostering her we just had no idea what her real personality was like but knew that it was just waiting to come out. Regards, Elizabeth

Hello PAWS:
Ivan and Cheetah
(now renamed Hodges) are both doing great. They are the best of friends now, though they mostly spend their time in brotherly wrestling. I know Ivan has learned a lot about stalking, pouncing and killing imaginary foes from Hodges. He still can't pin the bigger cat though, but give him time - I think Ivan is going to be a monster sized cat when he
grows up! He's so big already it amazes me every day how much he's grown. Hodges is gradually coming out of his shell and has made great progress. He really likes to sit on the window sill and watch the street and he loves toys with feathers, especially if we play peek-a-boo with them. Thanks, Catherine

Hi PAWS Chicago, Rondo is doing great here in his new home. He gets along really well with my roommate's boston terrier Mia. He also likes to play with my cat Rory. He is very cuddly and enjoys sleeping right with me under the blankets. He has become a mama's boy :) I've been working on getting him to sit, and so far he only will in my room and with a treat. He's definitely getting better. He is really happy here with us and we are so happy to have him. - Misty and Rondo

Dear PAWS Chicago -
Butch, now renamed Augie, is doing great. You definitely figured him out as a goofball in the short time he was at PAWS! He is a fun loving, happy little guy and we're enjoying doing lots of fun things together! I couldn't be happier with him.
Thanks,
Joe Abella

Dear PAWS Chicago,
Joel (now Rudy) and Marissa (now Sammi or Samantha) are great! They are healthy, happy, and keeping us on our toes! The attached picture shows them in their preferred setting - on the basement couch - after a hard afternoon of playing with us and each other! Thanks for everything!
- John, Jill, Emily, & Miles Blim

Hello PAWS,
Peaches is wonderful and she brings so much joy! She has so many endearing qualities. She follows me from room to room, and I often find her laying belly up and purring near my desk when I am studying or doing homework. She helps me fall asleep by purring and kneading my blankets. When I go out for my morning run or to work, I will often come home to find my other running shoes moved into the other room. Oh, she knows it
cracks me up and she races me to the shoe and face rubs and purrs it. :) She really completed our little fur family and I am totally smitten with her. What a doll, I am lucky to be her human.
- Jen

Dear PAWS Chicago:
Ziggy (PAWS name Grey Girl) is doing great. She just had her second
round of vaccinations at the vet last week and she is up to 3.25 lbs!
She is eating well and very active. She's been very sweet and
affectionate as well.
Sincerely,
Cathy Borregard
