PAWS Chicago Alumni

We recently adopted Flip on May 24, and he's doing great! We changed his name to Diego to honor his Chihuahua side. He is a wonderful addition to our
family - he loves taking walks, playing with his ball (not so much playing catch as playing "come and chase me!"), and taking naps on the couch next to my husband.

We love him so much and are happy to have such a beautiful dog brighten our lives each day.

You'll be pleased to know that Della is doing wonderfully. We did rename her, she is Kimba now. She came into our family with alot to deal with -- 6 human males, 2 canine males and 1 canine female. She was initially a little skittish, but thats expected since she was new. But now..... she bounds around the house by herself AND with her brothers and sister.

She is a canine alarm; a little shocking at first since she was so quiet originally. Now, you can't touch our front door knob. When you do --- RooRooRooRoo!!!!! NO ONE sneaks in (this is really great because we have teenagers. LOL). We LOVE her.

-William & Kevin

Sonic and Sylvester like to help since they never leave my lap when I am working on the computer.  They are happy, healthy and loved!! And as you can tell by the pictures, they are very attached to each other and are never far apart!

-.

We adopted Marshall a few weeks ago, and he is doing great! He is the sweetest boy and plays and runs hard, despite his previous hip surgery (sometimes a little too hard for my liking) He's beautiful and we just love him. Still thinking of a new name for him, though. In the meantime, we just shower him with terms of
endearment.

-Laura

I adopted Ruthie on May 1, 2009. I named her Sophie. Sophie is extremely smart and funny; I could not have asked for a better companion. I am excited to have her, thank you for all of your help.

-Angela
Thrasher (black long hair cat) is doing well and has become good buddies with our other cat Ernie (buff short hair cat). Thrasher is such a lap cat and loves to get groomed. Thrasher and Ernie love to watch the birds, squirrels, and bunnies that are outside our window. When Thrasher sees any bird outside he makes a special bird call that sounds like high pitch laughing. We are very happy that we adopted Thrasher.

-Leander

Thank you so much for letting me adopt my kitten, formerly Tiara, now named Phoebe. She is a joy to have around. She loves to chase a pen light, little balls, wads of paper - just about anything. She's also a little fiesty, pulling my shoes around by the shoe laces or pushing my bathroom scale to where she thinks it belongs. She loves to cuddle when I'm laying on the sofa and even licks my face like a dog! She's not shy, liking everyone she meets. She visited the cat that lives across the hall and they actually played pretty well together, although Phoebe wanted to play with him more than he wanted to play with her. She's a beautiful kitten.

PAWS is a wonderful place and is bringing joy to many lives by helping people find the right pet for them.

-Laura

My family adopted Ernie at the Angels with Tails event on Michigan Avenue. We love Ernie! He is an amazing addition to our family. We are so grateful to PAWS. We had an amazing experience with you all that has changed our lives. This picture was taken by a friend and we had to share it with you all. Pure JOY. Enjoy! Phoebe (4 years old) and her first dog ever, Ernie

-Gayle

Louise, now Lola has been a great addition to our family! She is playful and loving. She loves talking walks on the park and saying hi to adults and children alike, especially if she gets a little love from them in return. She loves sitting in the couch and playing with her toys. We are so happy to have her with us!

-Enid
My two girls are doing just fine. We did change Poof's name to Xica (pronounced Sheeka). Ananda's name remained the same. They are very playful and full of mischief but I don't mind. They bring plenty of joy to my home.

Many many many many thank yous,

-Monica

We have not changed our cat's name and Prince Charming is firmly ensconced as a well-loved part of the family. My daughters, Fiona (10) and Maeve (8) spend lots of time playing with him, petting him, and brushing his fur. He is a very smart cat and seems to know that we all love him, because he makes an effort to spend time with each of us. At bedtime, he first sleeps with my
younger daughter. When my older daughter goes to bed, he jumps in with her. When she goes to sleep, he sometimes stays with her and sometimes comes
downstairs to find me or my husband. I don't work outside the home, and when I come back from running errands, Prince comes to meet me and jumps up onto the one non-food preparation counter that we let him jump on. He is still startled by sudden moves or loud noises, but he is slowly relaxing and getting comfortable. We were all very excited when he came in due time to sit on each of our laps. He's a lovely cat and we love him very much. Thank
you for taking such good care of him until we adopted him. My older daughter was so impressed with PAWS that she wants to volunteer there later in the summer.

-Kristin
Owen is doing really well and is pretty relaxed most of the time as you can see in the picture attached from about a week ago or so of him in his new favorite spot on the couch and wedged in between the cushions (most times up side down) haha..

-Brian, Tracy, Jermaine and Owen

Things could not be going better with George, he is a wonderful companion and addition to the family. Attached is a current photo of him lounging:

-Steve

Life is great since adopting Damien & Lucy. I kept the names because, being 8 years old, they answered to them. I get some laughs from people about the name "Damien" -- ie the horror movie w/ the evil child -- but it's all good.

-Kent

I am e-mailing about Tevye. We have changed his name to Loki (Norse god of mischief which is very fitting for him)and he is a great - crazy cat that likes to sprawl out on the floor and gently paw those who walk by. Loki also enjoys to knock items off the counters just to watch them fall and break. He has settled nicely into our home and has become best friends with our dog, Mattie. He and the other cat also get along, though we still keep them separated when no one it home.

-Katharine

I just wanted to send you an update on how Apollo is doing. Right now he is a year and a month. You won't believe how big he has gotten. He is a joy to be around with. Everyone loves him, he is very well behaved. He no longer has accidents in the house or does anything destructive.

Gracie

We adopted Lincoln, a one-year-old poodle-mix. He's been a welcome and perfect addition to our family. We're all quite happy with Lincoln and he seems to be very happy with us as well. As for a dog, we could not have found a more perfect dog for our family. He's at times playful with the kids yet patient with the little ones. And with the exception of a few (very few) accidents in the house, he's been a great little companion for my two kids (6 and 3) and my wife and I. Thank you PAWS.

-James

I just wanted to update you on Sam (PAWS name Jim Bob) Since we brought him home things have been going
surprisingly well. It seems like everything is completely new to him grass, tv, rugs, ants, planes, coffee maker... He is very curious about everything and everyone and approaches with extreme caution. As the days go by, you can see more and more puppy coming out of him. He walks wonderfully on a leash and likes the car. He is starting to respond to his name. Someone must have taught him "no" because that was easy. Slowly working on other commands. He has been going on long walks and meeting the neighbors and some
dogs.

-Tim & Jennifer

Our newest editions, Irie (formerly Twitch) and Fishbone (formerly Sheila), have brought us more happiness than we could have ever imagined. We first fostered Irie while she was battling an upper respiratory infection and fell
in love with her immediately. She is an incredibly laid back cat who is down with everything and anything! She's "irie mon!" We fostered Fishbone a month after we brought Irie into our house to take care of her URI as well and we fell in love with her too! Her energy and
love coupled with her immediate fondness toward Irie and our other PAWS alumni Siren was undeniable. Although they were not planned adoptions, it is obvious that they were meant to be in our lives forever!

Thank you for making the adoptions possible and having the transition from fostering to having them permanently smooth!

-Roslanna
Just wanted to let you know that Phoebe and Marcel (formerly Habanaro and Hulk Hogan) are doing fine.  They are happy and full of  personality. Thanks for all your help!

-Brad

Wanted to give you an update on our new LOVE...Chico. We never imagined that we would find such an amazing little critter like Chico. He has been an absolute joy to have in our family. He is happy and healthy, eating well, playing well and has adjusted to his new surroundings.

Chico has met lots of new friends and has been socializing well with our neighbors and our friends dogs. A few weeks ago we took him to the dog beach and he had an absolute blast. He was ranked the fastest running dog on the beach that day, and he enjoyed the water as well.

In short he is a perfect fit for us and we are grateful for all your assistance and all of the care that you provided for Chico but also for all that you do for our community.

-David and Drew
Abe the cat is doing great. He adjusted to his new home -- and new canine companion Monty -- within the first week. He's a fun cat who's very curious and likes to play. He has explored every inch (high and low) of my house and likes to follow me around, except in the afternoon when he takes a long nap on my bed. His appetite is good, but he'll only drink water out of the dog's bowl. He's a great cat and makes me laugh every day. Thank you for taking care of him.

-Kerry

Remember me? It's Guapo! I thought I'd check in and let
you know how things have been going at home! I can't believe it’s going to be 2 years since I was adopted! I miss all of my friends at PAWS but I have the best
friend ever here at home! His name is Stanley; check him out sleeping next to me on the couch! (What a copy cat! haha!) We are best friends and we do everything together. We love to tumble and play, groom each other and sleep
together! Thanks PAWS for placing me in a great home

-Guapo
This is Scott and I just wanted to give an update as to how our pet Baron is doing. We got him from PAWS last August or September and things have been great. Although we did change his name. When we got him he was known as Red. We changed it to Baron VonButtonsworth.

-Scott

Our new kitten Henry (formerly Schatzie) is adjusting well to his new life in our apartment. He loves to play!!! He has learned how to fetch, and he loves running water and attacking the laundry. He loves to see us when we
get home, and sleeps at our feet at night. He has also gotten big!! We just love him to pieces. He is the highlight of our days. Thank you so much for our new family member.

-Heather
Terrance and I are doing well. We are going through one-on-one training and he is currently going to daycare as
well to socialize with other dogs.

-Erin

It was two years ago that I visited PAWS and adopted Essie (then Hazel) and since then she has become a loyal companion, roommate, workout buddy and friend. She is a very happy dog and brings joy to everyone she
meets. Essie enjoys visiting parks and beaches in the city, playing Chuck It in my parents' backyard and getting her belly rubbed before getting up in the morning. Attached are two recent photos of my sweet little girl. I
want to thank PAWS for the work that you do in giving pups like Essie a chance to find a real home.

-Jenn

We can't believe it has been 10 months since we adopted our dog. Steve (PAWS name was Adam) has been such a wonderful addition to our family. We survived the puppy months and he has grown to become quite a handsome, loving, happy dog. Steve has lots energy, loves to run, chew up toys (we are happy he doesn't like furniture or shoes!) play with other dogs and when tired he loves to cuddle up right next to us. Everyone that meets Steve falls in love with him especially his human cousins!

This was my first time adopting a dog and growing up a pure bread dog I was a little nervous. My husband's, whose family including us has now 4 adopted dogs, convinced me to do it and I am so happy for that. We really have had a wonderful experience adopting a dog through Paws and recommend you to anyone that is considering a pet.

Thanks again for all you to do save these wonderful creatures, he truly adds joy to every single day!

Attached is a picture, we got Steve when he was 3 ½ months and he weighed about 18 pounds. He is now 13 months and weighs about 40 pound!

-Jessica

Everything is going great with the new addition to my family....I couldn't have asked for a sweeter dog. She has surprised me with her affection not only for me and my fiance, but for our other family dog as well. At first my current doggy Riley was standoffish, but as time has gone by the two have become attached at the hip! Lucy is always looking for her big brother, and Riley constantly tries to look after his little sis. When the two finally began bonding, I was so excited I literally started crying!

I renamed her Lucy, as it seemed to be a better fit for her personality than Punchie. Lucy LOVES to spend time outdoors, and looks forward to our daily walks to the beach where she is always eager to run around in the grass and play with doggy friends. Lucy also LOVES her treats and toys, enclosed are a few pics from a recent BBQ at my parents house, and a few Easter pics with my brothers cat and niece...she is always on the move and pretty difficult to capture in a good pic!

-Stephanie

Pico (PAWS name, Roo) is doing GREAT! We are really enjoying getting to know her, and we love her more every day! These days, her favorite things include chasing sticks into the water at the dog beach, playing with her favorite neighborhood doggy buddies, having a good, long belly scratch, and learning new tricks. She is a PRO at all of her commands, and she just graduated on Wednesday from obedience school. She really is such a love -we're so grateful to PAWS for keeping her safe and helping us adopt her!

-Emily and Meg

We adopted Mowgli about a month and a
half ago! We decided to keep the name Mowgli, although we call him Mo for short. He has settled wonderfully into our home and made a great addition to our family. Mo and Kobe (our 2 1/2 year old Pomeranian) get along so well, Mo has even learned a few tricks (good and bad) from his big brother. He also enjoys making friends with everyone and everything (people, dogs, rocks, fences- you name it!) that he sees on the streets, in the hallways,
and of course- at the dog park!

Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful puppy!

-Vince and Whitney

Foxy Peppertail (previously Cosita) has become my little sidekick, just as I hoped. She did have a bit of separation anxiety when I first brought her home; she barked the ENTIRE time whenever I left her home alone. On my way
to work I now drive her to my parents' house, where she spends most of the day just being a dog, snoozing, laying in the grass, etc. It's actually really great for her, and my mom, because they go on daily walks and I am happy to see my mom getting some exercise.

Foxy has calmed down a lot with the barking, I can leave her home for a few hours to run errands in the evening, or on weekends. She really is a very good dog, always wants to please, but is stubborn some of the time, she won't do tricks for nothing, you have to have a treat in your hand.

-Fran

Kindra (Penny) is doing great as always and has been scheduled for leg surgery on June 2nd. I'll send updates when she's healed a bit. Photos attached from 3 months old to now at a year!

-Sara

Things are going great with Boscoe. He has been extremely well behaved ever since we brought him home. We have not changed his name.

-Erik

I adopted Pacman (Pitt Bull/Boxer mix formerly known as Murphy) at the end of March. He has been absolutely great. I wish he could speak because I'd like to know his background story. Apparently he was found as a stray but I can't imagine why anyone would let him go. He's been a quick learner, obedient, and loves other people and dogs. The teacher in obedience class calls him the popular guy because he just HAS to say Hi to everybody. He is very playful and full of energy, but at the same laid back and relaxed.
Thanks PAWS!

-Christopher

My husband and I adopted a dog named Ezra from you nearly two months ago.  We renamed him Rupert, and have been excited to see him perk up after his surgical hood came off and as he's become more comfortable in his new home. Rupert loves lounging around the house and going to the dog park at Wiggly Field, and he's learning quickly in his new obedience class. He also loves riding in the car - which is good, because we're all driving off to a Colorado vacation this weekend! We're excited to take him hiking and camping. A picture is attached to show you his big happy smile!

-Sara and Dave

Loomis is doing great! It was a tough start because I just had to get used to his sensitive stomach, but now he is doing very well! We go on long walks and we are starting to run a little bit now, since the weather is finally getting better! We both need to work on our endurance, but we will get there soon enough. He really is a great dog, nothing but love from him. He is extremely social and people stop me in the street to tell me how beautiful he is!

-Eduardo

Things are great with Doctor! Thanks for checking up on him. I did change his name, its now Karloff. I was a little worried at first about dealing with the unsocialized aspect of his background but he has turned out to be a sweet heart.
He has become really good friends with my other cat Boris. They fought a little at first but now they are constantly cuddled up together. Karloff is still just a little skittish when new people come over but recently instead of hiding the whole time he will at least come out and sniff around and
maybe even let them pet him.

-Eric

Thanks for checking in! We have changed her name for Pamela to Rosey. She is doing absolutely wonderful. If I could create the perfect dog (maybe minus a few shoe chewing incidents) it would be her! She was a great addition to our family and we love her so much. Thank you so much for everything PAWS!

-Danielle

Both Tut & Teddy are doing great!! Tut turns 2 this month and Teddy is already 9 months old! Teddy is growing so fast! He is doing well and is healthy. He enjoys climbing on anything he can get to and especially loves climbing on our drying rack. It is absolutely adorable and his balance is quite amazing. Tut & Teddy are inseparable and not only love to play together but especially love to cuddle! We can't imagine our lives without Tut & Teddy! Thank you again for the opportunity to have them in our lives.

- Matt & Anna

Ala is doing very well. We haven't changed her name. She has adapted wonderfully.

-Teal

Things are going great with Barley. We renamed her from Adrianna to "Barley Adrianna Cheaudry". I attached a picture of her doing her favorite trick "place". She's been very sweet and was a breeze to potty train; she's actually even learning to ring a bell when she has to go potty. She's made a lot of doggy friends in the neighborhood, and gets to play with them almost every day (which is a god send, because she's exhausted after that and sleeps like a rock those nights). She's grown quite a bit since we first took her home, and I have a feeling she has quite a bit of growing left to do.

-Scott

I adopted Ezmerelda, a beautiful black cat. She is doing great, she loves to eat so I have had to monitor her eating. She uses the little box with no problems and she is getting along with her sister great, and also with her cat aunt at my parents house when we visit them. She is full of energy and is very cuddly. She is a wonderful pet and companion!

-Jennifer

Everything is great with our dog, Fang! We re-named him Jack. We absolutely adore him!

-Erika & Ben

I just wanted to say thanks so much for all of your help. I adopted Lucky and so far everything has been great. He's getting better on the leash once I got him a harness and he passed his first vet visit with flying colors. He sits and stays without the clicker and treats and is a great snuggler. I renamed him Oliver, as I will be moving to an apartment on Dickens and *Oliver Twist* is one of my favorite novels by him. Thanks again for all you do.

-Jessica

Lulu Belle is doing great.  We live across the street from a huge park where she and her brother, Hershey run like maniacs.  She is a beloved member of our family.  We couldn't be more happy.

-Anne

We wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know how Pablo and Sal (Salvadore - known as Ari at PAWS) are doing. They have become fast friends and spend a lot of their days (and nights) playing, wrestling, and grooming one another. They are very affectionate with us, and with the kids (Keara, 5 and Connor, 3) which we all enjoy. They not only tolerate the kids, but approach them for attention. All in all they are thriving. Attached are some pictures.

-The Booths

I would like to thank you for following up with me concerning the progress of Napoleon (PAWS name Taco) . He couldn't be happier! I have attached some photos of both Prince (PAWS name Bullseye) and Napoleon who I adopted form your shelter. These are some pictures which were featured on a blog. Enjoy and thank you very much
again!

-Aleem

Lola (PAWS name Violet) is the best thing that
has ever happened to my boyfriend and I. She is so sweet, relaxed (hyper at times), attentive, well trained, an awesome snuggle bunny, a squirrel lover and oh so completely adorable. When we first got her in November she was completely shy but has broken out of her shell. There are times she is still timid but she is definitely growing out of it. Since we live right across the street from the park, Lola loves her long daily walks and
mingling with other dogs, though at times she doesn't care to mingle and is snobby. Also this past Sunday we took Lola to do her first 5k walk and she was so exhausted by the end of the day but enjoyed all the attention. Please take a look at the picture attached from Sunday's Breast Cancer walk with Lola.

Thank you for asking! Also Paws is an awesome place and there should be more places like yours!!

-Cheyla and Samuel
Cooper (formerly Butler) is doing fantastic! He's potty trained and crate trained and he's learning tricks and commands really quickly! He's been great to have in the house and I'm so thankful that I was able to find him. Cooper is all up-to-date with his vaccinations and should be set until next year. He's taking heartworm preventative and a flea/tick preventative as well.

Thanks again so much. I think PAWS is such a great organization, and I'm so glad to have heard of you!

-Jenn

Little Zahava is loving her new home and I love having her here. I kept her name because that is what drew me to her at PAWS. Zahava means "golden" in Hebrew and when I saw her fast asleep in a basket in the window, I knew it was beshert ("meant to be") and that she had to come home with me. She's my kosher kitty! She is definitely a very curious cat but my favorite part of
the day is when she comes and curls up next to me on the couch. She's got lots of fun toys, including a little octopus, and she's even got a boyfriend (my teddy bear). I absolutely adore her and I thank PAWS for such a
wonderful adoption experience.

-Audrey
Bernie (aka Rikki) is doing GREAT!! He has been a perfect fit and we enjoy everyday with him!! There is a dog park at the corner so he has TONS of friends....we think he has a girlfriend named Lula (St. Bernard Puppy) who is one month
older then him. They play together daily and have lots of fun rolling in the mud. Bernie also has a dog walker, Susie, who takes him for nice long walks in the afternoons. Susie and Bernie get along great! We are looking forward to a great summer and learning how to swim in the lake!!

Thanks again to PAWS for everything!! The entire experience has been wonderful from the beginning...we couldn't imagine life without our little Bernie!!!

-Megan & Matt

All is going well here with Beatrice (PAWS name Jade)and me. While we've had the occasional training setback, everything seems to be going very well. We are in the final two weeks of obedience class and she is looking forward to her first camping trip this weekend.

-Andy

Things are going great! Ogam is getting so big and has been such a joy!

-Megan

I adopted Birdie a 7 month old black short haired kitty from you, which I have renamed her Chula (Chulita). She's doing awesome and is so spoiled! She likes to follow me around like a shadow and likes to talk to me all day long (some noises that come out of her don't even sound cat like, lol). She also loves playing with her toys until she passes out. She has even started playing fetch with her ball, it's pretty funny. She's a very sweet and cuddly little kitty, never scratches or hisses. Always a curious kitten though. Chula's even discovered how to open up folding closet doors and kitchen cabinet doors...so clever. She makes me and my boyfriend laugh and we love her. Thanks so much for all you do!

-Cristina, Charles, and Chula
All is great with Sydney (PAWS name Emi)! She's a wonderful cat, sweet, playful, and extremely friendly.
As you can see from attached photos, she's got a lot of character!

We are very happy with her and grateful for PAWS, thank you.

-Steve

We adopted Rizzo on March 20th and changed his name to Kosmo, after Kramer.  My husband and my favorite show is Seinfeld. He's doing great and has brought so much happiness and love to our home. Our families love him and our three-year-old nephew has nicknamed him Bambi because he "looks like a deer." He has settled in to his new home and has graduated from basic obedience class. We're working with a behaviorist to address his leash frustration and our walks have greatly improved as a result! He loves the beach and chasing seagulls. Thank you for your help in matching us with Kosmo, we couldn't be happier.

-Melissa, Matthew, and Kosmo

Newman is doing good. He's a crazy little boy.  He was a great choice.

-Lindsey

My fiance and and I adopted Lucy on March 15th. She was a nervous gal but quickly warmed up to us. She responds well to her new name Peanut and the dozens of nicknames (PP, The Nut, and Peepster) we have for her. She had her teeth cleaned and dew claws taken off last week and she is recovering very well.  She has made us a family and we are grateful for the extra exercise and life
lessons (think patience!) she has brought into our lives.

Thank you for saving her.

-Jessica, Michael, and Peanut

Pico is doing great.

-Caroline

We've changed Rama's name (after much negotiating) to Roxie J Beagle, as when she runs (really hasn't figured out how to only walk yet!) her beagle ears lift up like airfoils and she resembles Rocky the flying squirrel, in flight. Squirrel's by the way also appear to be her mission in life. Her avowed mission is to never, NEVER EVER, allow any squirrel on the ground! They must always remain always in trees, and when any one should forget...well she is quick to correct them!

I tried to get a picture of her in her 'squirrel police uniform', standing on back paws with front stretched as far as possible up a tree trunk, but she insisted she remain undercover.

-Mike

Thanks for getting in touch with us regarding Lois. I have attached photos that will show how well she has settled here. We renamed her Lola when she arrived and we have worked very hard in training out of some of her bad habits.
She is a very loving and affectionate puppy who gets along so well with Frank, our bulldog. I did actually put Lola in her crate for a time out and then found Frank trying to open the door with his teeth! They play all day and are very successfully tiring each other out. In short Lola has been a great addition to the family and she is coming along in leaps and bounds. Lola is a very happy puppy and her separation anxiety has calmed down immensely. You were also not joking when you said that she likes her food! We would like to thank you all for your hard work and wish you all the very best with Paws in the coming years.

-Andy

We are happy to report that our adopted puppy Melon is doing great. All housebreaking and training has been going as well as can be expected - pretty standard stuff for a lab puppy. We look forward to getting his license from the city so we can start taking him to the dog park.

-Tom

It's been about a month since we adopted Zumi (formerly Pito). We've started obedience classes. He gets along great with our other dog, Tut and our cat, Simone. Zumi is learning sit, "look at me" down, drop it and leave it commands. He loves to play with toys and really enjoys long walks. My daughter Marina thinks he's the best dog ever.

-Tom, Debra & Marina

Sandie is doing very well. She is now called Stella. She and Miller have a great time playing together. We take them both for a lot of walks, and they behave very well. Stella is doing ok with housebreaking, with a few
accidents now and again. She does like to chew, so we really have to keep an eye on her. She sits well, begs, gives paw, and barks. She loves to eat, and has gained about 7 pounds since adoption (she was very skinny). Stella loves the neighborhood we live in because it has a lot of places to walk to, and a lot of active neighbors. She is very interested in the squirrels and huge crows that live around here. We will be taking her to Michigan's Upper
Peninsula to meet Grandpa Harold, and go swimming with Miller in Lake Michigan. She met Grandma Ruth at Easter, and really likes her. Stella loves to chew soap, so we have to watch that. She likes to jump into the bathtub after showers and lick the soap and water. Very strange.
When people ask about her, we tell them she came from PAWS, a great place to get a dog. She has brought us a lot of joy so far, and we are happy to have been able to provide her with a good home.

-Connie, Bruce & Amy

Here are some pictures of Daisy (formerly Cuddles) and Riley (formerly Bronte), as well as Casey, our dog of 11 years. The girls are getting along great, and seem to really enjoy their new home with us. All three love going for walks together, and occasionally you will find them all curled up in the family room chairs.

-Matt

I wanted to thanks PAWS for helping us connect with Spice (now named Dolly). Paul and I are both thrilled that she is in our lives. We are nursing her
back to health and thus far she has given us lots of licks and joy! I encourage anyone wanting to rescue a dog (or cat) to consider it. It has been a meaningful and fulfilling experience.

-Franklin

I am writing to let you know how things are going with Shadow (now known as Kaia). Kaia has been doing really well. She is a really sweet puppy who loves people and other dogs. Everyone always comments on what a pretty dog she is. I tell them that rescue dogs make the best pets! We have been consistently working on her training. She currently knows how to sit, lay down, and stay. Kaia is very smart but also stubborn when she wants to be. She could use some improvement on walking with a leash but she is getting much better. Luckily for us, Kaia was already house trained when we took her home. We have recently started taking
her to doggy daycare a couple of times a week so she can run around with other dogs all day. She loves it and is exhausted when she gets home.

Boomer (formerly known as Barney) is doing just great.  He is almost 11 months old now and weighs in at 65lbs.  With the help of a dog trainer and constant training, Boomer has turned into a well-disciplined and handsome sweetheart.  He's been house trained for about 2 months now, too.  His days consist of either long walks or time playing with other dogs at a nearby dog park then cuddles with us on the couch.  We certainly feel lucky we had the opportunity to adopt his from PAWS Chicago and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at PAWS for their help.  From the first time we walked in there (the day we adopted him and took Boomer home) to now with your occasional follow up calls and emails.  I have recommended PAWS to several of my friends and random people I meet on the street.

-Matt & Keelan

We adopted a black puggle named Lana. her name is now Zoe and we are definitely keeping her.

-Alexa

Franklin is doing well. We have changed his name to Little Mann (or we usually call him The Little One). We have another cat, Mister Mann, and they are doing quite well. They like to play and sun bathe together, and of course sleep together. Attached are a couple of pictures (Mister is grey and white and bigger, of course, and Little Mann is black and white).

-Maria and Ben

Otto (PAWS name Chicken Little) is doing well. He is very rambunctious and still is very much a puppy. We got a new house last June so he now has a yard of his own which he runs around in like a beast. He loves trips to the dog beach and the woods. During the winter he tried to chase some deer in the woods. He loves to ride in the car now. Which is quite a change because when we first brought him home it took four people to get him out the door at PAWS and into the car. Loves to go for a ride so much that when we are loading the trunk of the car he will jump in to be sure he is coming with (don't worry we don't let him ride in the trunk). He loves all people and is great around other dogs. He listens well and will usually come when called unless he is on some adventure that he can't be torn away from.  He has a love hate relationship with our two cats or should I say they have a love hate relationship with him. He wants so much to play with them but they run away and then come back to tease him later by rolling around the floor in front of him. In summary Otto is awesome. We want to Thank everyone at PAWS for helping to bring Otto into our lives. It makes me very sad to think that if it weren't for your organization that we may have missed our opportunity to have this relationship with our goofy, sweet, and loving dog who brings so much happiness to our lives everyday.

-Sean and Teresa

Here is an update on Faona, our St. Bernard/Boxer mix puppy we found at Paws Chicago! Faona was a very cute name but we have always wanted to name our dog
Scarlett, so we changed her name to Scarlett Faona! She  became a wonderful part of our family immediately. Since she is a St. Bernard/Boxer mix, we thought she would be quite a big pup, but our vet thinks she won't reach over 40-50 lbs - what a surprise! Scarlett loves the beach, chasing her tail, and meeting new people and puppies at the park. We
are so happy with her, thank you so much PAWS Chicago!!

-Lauren

Professor Bananas is doing really well! He and our younger cat, Bitty are best friends, they play and sleep together all of the time. He and our senior cat, Princess are doing better. I wouldn't call them friends just yet
but they are making great improvements.

-Rachel

We adopted Pete almost two months ago.  He is fully potty trained and loves to play in our backyard. He is wonderful with our kids - very patient when they hug and tug at him. He gives them a kiss every night before they go to bed. He is in obedience class and is doing very well. He is a wonderful addition to our family and we are very happy to have made the decision to adopt him.

 -Jennifer

I am very happy with my decision to adopt Emily from PAWS. She passed swimming 101 last weekend on our first of many trips to the lake down in Kentucky, and I don't think she could have been happier. We are enrolled in some obedience classes mostly to socialize her a bit. She's very smart and learns commands very quickly. I can tell that she is going to be a great dog and bring joy to everyone she meets. The adoption process
at PAWS was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone interested in adopting a pet. I'd like to thank all of the volunteers at paws for making my experience so great.

-Evan

We couldn't imagine being without him. He's an angel. Very well behaved. He was formally Mortimer. His name is now Lou.

-David and Marquee

Last summer we adopted 8 year old dog named Darwin from your event on Armitage. It was love at first site...and we can't imagine our lives without him.  After trying names like Jerry, Dennis, Oscar, Gizmo, Little Bear and
The Professor, Eddie found his name. He has become the prince of our home...and our neighborhood.  Eddie loves his walks, loves to ride (or just sit) in the car. In
fact, he just likes the word, "car." His hoarse bark and joyful dance welcomes us home, even if we've been away for only 5 minutes. He loves wearing little sweaters and jackets. He loves being held and cuddled. He loves being kissed. He is gentle and kind with people of all ages. Eddie is obedient walking both off leash and on leash. He has become a gentle and playful companion for Charlie
the beagle, Archie the terrier mix, Benny the golden retriever and his cousins Dublin (black lab) and Buoy (mix). Eddie was brother to our 20-year old Tabby, Mikey who recently passed away. Eddie was a respectful companion to Mikey (though he did steal his bed, at first). After we got Eddie his own bed, they would sit, side-by-side for hours. And since Mikey passed, Eddie doesn't sit in his bed anymore.

We are so grateful to PAWS for rescuing our precious pal. We feel so fortunate to have found him. He has completed our family.

-The Schneiders

We just wanted to inform you that we adopted a beagle by the name of Butterscotch.  Her name has changed and is now Kayla.  She is doing well, she is the perfect pet for our family.  She loves the kids and they love her.  We are very pleased and want to thank you for introducing us to this lovely dog.

-Wanda

I just want to tell everyone at PAWS how thankful my boyfriend and I are to have Miko in our home. He is such a joy and seems to have become the reason we get up in the morning and the reason we rush home each evening after work.  He has become very active and energetic and runs around all day long keeping both of us on our feet for sure. He loves his squeaky toys and treats and does a little dance for treats now when he comes in from being outside.  I just want to say thank you to everyone for your support and being so open and caring with us.

-Evan & Sarah

We are so happy with our little guy. We renamed him. His new name is Oliver (PAWS name Mr. Peterman), although we call him The Little Guy. He'll be a bit confused about his name for a while. He is just so cute. We all love him. Our older cat (5 years) has taken to him. We find them every once in a while licking each other.  We bought nail clippers for the little guy and they have worked great! He loves to chew on wires and has already bitten through my daughter's DS game cable. We now unplug everything in the house for his safety and are working on getting this bad habit of his out of his system.

-Paola, Daniel, Vivian, Oliver and Toto

We've had Corina (PAWS name Jill) for just over a month, and it's hard to imagine life without her now. She is curious and friendly -always welcoming our friends and family with an inquisitive sniff -and she's very affectionate and playful. She recently discovered the wonders of catnip, which was hilarious. We feel so lucky to have such a lovable kitty. Thanks to all of the volunteers at PAWS who took such good care of her.  I am including a picture of Corina's "sea otter" pose - she likes to relax on the couch this way, leaving the opportunity open for a tummy rub at any time. It usually works.

- Dan & Mary

CoCo (PAWS name Franny) visited the vet at 1 year after adoption for shots and checkup. She was found to be healthy.  CoCo is a sweet dog who has fitted into this home and expanded her personality to fill the home and the lives of those around her. She is very adaptable content to hang out in the house being "purple" to use your phrase. She is also very happy pelting around the beach being very active. She has learned very well and it was not necessary to use obedience classes to train her.

-Donald

Souie (formerly Heather) is the newest member of my pack and the second foster I've adopted. Souie had a rough start - bitten on her skull (the scar is permanent) and only one kidney but she is a fearless, fun loving, and very affectionate member of a 2 Papillion, 1 Chihuahua (also Paws alumni), and 1 Maltese pack. Her breed in uncertain, her looks are odd, and she is well-loved and happy in her pack.

-Sharon

Here's an update on Huey and Louisa (PAWS name Charlotte). It's been 2 weeks since I took them home and they are doing wonderfully. Both are growing and exploring, and love to play and snuggle. Most of all they love each other madly! I'm so glad I got them both - they are the best
companions for each other, as well as for me.

- Regina

We adopted Charlie Watson on March 23, and he quickly settled into his new home. He is really smart and we have started training him to do simple tasks like
sitting and staying.  Charlie Watson loves laying wrapped up in his fleece blanket and he loves looking out the window. He has been great when he meets other dogs, but sometimes he barks at men on our walks. He's a great guard dog. He likes helping with laundry and on particularly cold days he tries to jump in the dryer with the warm clothes. He's only succeeded once.  We're really happy to have Charlie Watson in our home and are happy we're able to take care of him. I can't imagine why anyone would ever give him up!

-Jessica, Xian, and Charlie Watson

This is a pic of our puppy, Daffodil (formerly Missy). She is doing  great!!! She loves to help us with the gardening! As you can see she loves to guard the pots from the squirrels. She is quite a herbivore  though. She loves to steal pansies and ferns. We just finished our second training session. My eight year is trying to get her on Pet Star! They watch every morning together while they both eat their  Cheerios! Cheerios is their shared fav treat.

-Tamara

Tavi is doing fine.  Tavi is 23Lbs and in good health. He is now an official wake up clock. When my partner takes him out at 5Am,he celebrates coming back in by taking a running start and jumping on my head.  Now when i hear the door open i hide under the covers, waiting for the impending thud. He is very bright and i have him partially trained.  Puppy school is next now that he has had all his vaccinations.

-Ronald

Oliver Twist has a new name, it's slightly hard to pronounce but myself and my roommates related in naming him 'Kakashi' a character from a Japanese comic which in some ways to us is portrayed well by the kitten.  He spends a lot of time looking out the window, and generally playing
with the many toys we have for him.  He is the most vocal cat I have met, and meows at any chance he gets.  Thank you for your continued concern in the newest part of my 'family' with my roommates.  PAWS has proven to be an exceptional place for adoption and don't believe I've ever seen such freedom and care given to animals in any other facility.

-Alec

I just wanted to share an update on our recent adoption, Charlie our loveable 1-year-old beagle/foxhound mix. We love having Charlie has a member of our family and couldn't imagine not having him with us! We adopted
Charlie (then Riley) from PAWS in mid-March and he has blended into our family incredibly well. We already had two adult cats who, to our knowledge, had never been around dogs. Charlie has done so well with them and we're now at the point where we can have everyone in the same room together (closely monitored, of course!). Charlie is also excelling at his obedience training
and does a very concentrated sit/stay...he loves it!

We're so happy with our adoption experience at PAWS - the advice we were given from the adoption councilor was great, as well as her follow up call with us to see how things were going. All of the volunteers were so friendly
both times we visited PAWS, and overall we had a warm, friendly and great experience...and of course, ended up with a wonderful dog!

-Laura, Steve & Charlie
We just LOVE the new addition to our family! We renamed Sniffer, Nala because she is our little lion. She was a birthday gift to me from my husband. He was hesitant to get a cat because he is more of a dog person, but I he has fallen madly in love with her, just like me! As you can see from the picture, she is right at home in Wrigleyville!

-Ann

I got Sam at PAWS on February 13th of this year and things are great. He was very shy when I first got
him but now is out and about most of the time. He's been to the vet a couple of times and is in great health. He gets along great with his new house mate (Mia, my other cat). I am keeping his name as well. I'm attaching a
couple of photos of him and one of him and Mia lounging on my desk.

-Jamie, Sam and Mia

Things are going well. We have changed Lemming's name to Teddy, although sometimes we think we should of named him "Marley" after the movie.  Sometimes Teddy and Holly fight other times they are great buddies. I have attached a few pictures. Thanks for getting in touch.

-Samantha, Reed and the cats Teddy and Holly

We changed our Spidee's name to Barker.  He is a handsome dog who lives up to his name. He has loads of energy and love.  We can't imagine our life without him.

Thanks to all the staff there for the work they do to find theses pets good homes.

-Craig & Shana

Angela (PAWS name Dorothy) is doing great! She's getting so big already! She is 19 weeks old now and a bundle of energy. Her favorite games are playing fetch with bottle caps, attacking mommy's feet while she's sleeping
and batting at the chain pulls on the fans (she stands under them and meows until I pick her up so she can reach them). She sleeps on my neck like a scarf. She is an absolute joy and I'm so glad she picked me!

-Amber

We adopted Cookie on February 8, 2009. We did change her name to Chloe.  She is growing and is very playful. It took about a week for our other kitten, Miaggi, to get used to her, but now they play and sleep with each other.  So, thank you PAWS for allowing us to adopt Chloe as she has become a wonderful addition to our family.

-Alfredo & Jacqueline
Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt our foster dog Jayden! We adopted him in February and he is now 7 months old. We couldn't ask for a better, smarter or cuter dog. He's such a loving dog and likes to greet everyone with puppy kisses.  Two days a week he goes to doggie daycare where he has a blast hanging out with his canine pals and running off some puppy energy. When he's not in school he's playing an early morning session of ball in the tennis courts or walking around Wrigleyville making new friends. We're eagerly awaiting warmer weather to see how he likes swimming at the beach. Jayden also has 3 dog cousins he adores and gets to spend a lot of time with.

We love our 'lil guy & never miss an opportunity to recommend PAWS to people we meet.

-Stephanie, Ivan & Jayden

I absolutely love and adore Snuggles (here name at PAWS was Camie). She has fit into the family just perfectly.

-Arin and Snuggles
Thank you for the follow up email. Jacob's doing great! We renamed him Gravy (since our other cat's name is Biscuit). They get along quite well.

-Thongsy

The adoption has gone incredibly well. Martin is such an
amazingly adjusted dog, and he has not once had an accident in my house, and since I got him, he has only chewed on one thing that was not his. I have been very lucky. He absolutely loves people and is really good in the house.  I kept the name that Paws had for him when I was there. It seemed to fit him.  He seems to be indifferent to most other dogs and prefers people. It has been a wonderful experience and if I ever get Martin a
playmate, he'll get one from Paws!

-Bryan
Just wanted to drop a note to tell you about Charlie formerly known as Kris Kringle. Charlie is doing great and has adapted well to our home.  Since his adoption he has had surgery on his right leg to correct the growth plate deformity he suffered from. Although his leg will never be 100% he has fully recovered from the surgery and can run, and jump and fetch like any happy 11 month old dog!  My children Anna and Sara adore Charlie and are truly his Angels. They were able to look past his bad leg and saw him for the good dog he is.

-Susan

I renamed Sonya.  Her new name is Sami and she is doing great! I have totally spoiled her. She is my cat-child.

-Lindsey
Heidi, whom we have named Scarlett, is doing very well. She gets regular "snuggie-time" and has a particular
love for anything made of fish. She likes chicken-flavored snacks, but not chicken-flavored wet food from a packet. Her official one year birthday was this past weekend, and it was celebrated with plenty of mackerel treats. She is an official member of the family, and we love her very much.

-Jimmy and Lauren

I renamed Paress, Fuji. She recognizes this is her name now. She is a good dog. She gets walked 2 times a day and when I get home I usually take her out. She has grown a lot she weighs about 30-35 pounds now. She knows a lot of tricks. I taught her bang your dead, paw, high five, and obviously sit and lay down. She also has a bell hung on my sliding door to ring when she has to go potty and she is beginning to use it regularly.  All in all I am very happy she is my baby.

-Dave
Floyd is doing fantastic. His new name is Jack. He is a healthy well mannered dog who is growing up so quick!  He loves to go for walks, play catch, and go to the dog park next door to my building. Jack really just wants to be everyone's friend, greeting every dog or person we see with kisses. He catches on quickly to all tricks and commands, and only needed crate training for about a week before he was on his own in the apartment. He hasn't had any
issues with chewing on things and always lets me know when it's time to go out. I consider myself very lucky, as I know from experience not all puppies are this well behaved from day 1.

-Meghan

I renamed Jasmine, Bandit. She's sweet as can be, already has been on a roadtrip, bbq & 2 bars. She's become quite the city dog!

-Susan

Nils (PAWS name Jack) is doing great, he's bigger every day. He's so happy and is learning very fast. I've attached a pic for you.

-Elizabeth

Tessi is still Tessi, we did not change her name. She is doing great. She is 28 pounds and growing.  She loves
playing with her toys and running around the backyard. She likes going for walks in the forest preserve. She likes meeting other dogs and people. She is not sure about the deer she sees. They are a bit big for her. So she lays
in the grass (or dirt) and watches them. In about a month she will be going with us to our cabin in WI. She will get to see farm animals for the first time. If she thinks deer are big wait until she sees a cow.

-Bob

Everything has been really great with Mia, her new name(original was Judy).  She has gotten all her shots now and has adjusted very well to my friends and home! She is 5 months and still as playful as ever, but maturing a bit
into a super sweet cat. I love her and am still very happy with my decision to adopt from PAWS!

-Amanda

I renamed Victor to Yoshi. He's been doing great and has been slowly adjusting to my home.

-Jun-Jun

In early February I adopted a black lab name Howie. He never really responded to Howie so we didnt think much of it to change his name to Charlie.  Charlie is doing amazing and has been a tremendous addition to the household. He loves other dogs and enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball in the backyard and going for walks and runs. He has an obsession with food and has figured out how to open the cabinet under the sink to get to the trash. A simple child lock took care of that problem and with our 3rd week of obedience training he is really showing how capable he is of becoming a wonderful lifelong pet and friend.

We would like to thank PAWS for giving us the opportunity to enhance our lives, we cant imagine our life without Charlie.

-Steve and Holly

Koko (formerly Carla) has become a very popular and very welcome member of our family. She is very smart and great around children.  She does still get spooked and very flighty on walks near busy streets, but she has made tremendous improvement and we keep working on it each day.

-Ty

I had adopted Ghost, and actually am calling him Gary now.
Things are going well. He adjusted very quickly and is a VERY active cat. He keeps me on my toes, though!

-Sara

We've been enjoying having the cat around. Her new name is Penelope or Penny (PAWS name Peach). She's fully-adjusted at this point, and seems to be a pretty normal cat-- always wants to eat, likes to play with her toys (her favorite is a catnip-filled kiwi toy), and really enjoys hanging out on our extra-deep windowsills, watching the world go by.

-Jody

Devi (previously known as Harper at PAWS) is doing great!!!She is an absolute joy. She has had all her shots and visits to the vet and has passed everything with flying colors. She LOVES other doggies and is fanatical about going to the doggie park. She loves to cuddle with me and is a great little snuggler, but also listens (for the most part) when I giver her orders. She is approaching 5 months this week.  Thank you for connecting me with the best puppy ever!!

-Sharon

Here is a picture of Aqaba, (pronounced Akaba) formerly Trent. He thinks I am his tiger mother and is constantly looking to me to play. He is very smart and a very good boy. He loves our grandkids 4-7 and they run him
ragged or he runs them ragged. He loves food and is very healthy.

-Margie

We adopted Rhino (we kept his name) in January.  Needless to say he is by no means the lazy little purple dog we thought he was and he's already gained 2 pounds!  We love him so much. We could not imagine having any other dog.

-Rachel

Bonnie is quite comfortable in her new home. Thank you for all that you do.

-Ron

I kept her name Opal. She is doing fantastic. She is extremely friendly to everyone and really playful. she loves sleeping with people at night, stretching out everywhere. She doesn't have any health problems and keeps a good appetite.

-Kena

I adopted the cutest dog from PAWS. Her name was Kat and is now Murphie.  She is doign really well. We have a fabulous dog walker during the day and then we give her lots of love and attention in the morning, nights, and weekends.  Here is a picture of her first bath.

-Lindsey

Frankie Valentine (PAWS name Lisa) and Ella (PAWS name Matilda) are doing wonderfully! They are the cutest kittens and I can't believe how lucky I am to have found them! Frankie loves TV! Whether it's crawling on top of it or
lying on my chest for hours and watching it. Ella loves to give kisses and is always up for crawling into bed with me to take a nap. I am so glad I adopted them together because as you can see by the pictures they are inseparable and Ella is a true big sister to Frankie. They love to chase
each other around the apartment and play hid and seek with boxes. I even kept the PAWS box because they love playing with it.

-Meghan

Nelson now known as Rex has been a wonderful addition to my family. I was very lucky to be able to adopt a dog as smart, playful, inquisitive and loving as Rex. I have never owned a dog before and Rex makes me regret not getting one sooner. Nothing makes you laugh and smile more than a puppy. I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone that helped Rex find me and for all the great work you do for animals.

-Bill

Bentley is still his name and he is doing great. He is well trained and a joy to be around. He loves all dogs and people.

-Brian

We were thrilled to bring Jack (PAWS name Jacek) home with us in February. He is a loving and playful addition to our family. He greets us when we come home from work, watches TV with us, and generally follows us around the apartment. He is also very smart and athletic and is constantly amazing us with his feats of strength.

Thank you for such a wonderful cat. Jack is the best!

--Jeanne and Sterling

Aw, my Francesca is doing so well! Already I can't imagine life without her.  I think we're a good match.  She really answers to Francesca, so I'm not changing her name. Sometimes I call her Chessie for short.  I am so happy with Chessie! We're making quite the team. Thanks to all for
your help and guidance!

-Gab

We did change Huey's name to Charlie. Everything is going so well! Nick and I love Charlie so much. He is such a good boy! He hasn't had any accidents in the house and he is learning new commands so quickly. He's still learning how to play...he's slowly catching on and has started playing fetch a bit. Everyone he meets just loves him and we make sure to tell them we got
him at PAWS.

-Kaitlin

My boyfriend and I are so happy with Ben (formerly Brady). He is a wonderful puppy!  He's fully house broken. We take him almost everywhere we go--even to Florida to visit his
"grandparents" who adore him.

-Sarah

Milo (then Boom-Boom) is doing wonderful! He passed his puppy class with flying colors! He is already signed up for his intermediate class and we are really excited to teach him new tricks! He loves to show off his toys to his friends. He is well known at our local pet store, we go in just about every week to buy him something new, whether it be toys, clothes, or treats. Milo is a very fast learner. I often take him on car rides, as he loves to look out the window. I'm really excited for the weather to warm up so I can take him to the dog beach.  I absolutely love him!

-Tiffany

Wally, the dog formerly known as Echo, has made himself right at home. I am so lucky to have gotten such a nice dog from PAWS. He came home and was already house trained, he doesn't bite, he goes in his kennel, he is super smart, and he is the sweetest, most lovable dog on top of all that! It amazes me how accurate his description was from the people at PAWS. He was described as being a "glass half
full type of guy, who loves tennis balls." His favorite thing on
earth to do is play catch with a tennis ball and whenever we go to the park he likes to carry it himself on the way there. He is always ready to play, just incase someone may toss a toy for him at any given moment. He is just the funniest little dog! Thank you PAWS for finding homes for such wonderful animals like Wally!

Sara

All is well with Travis. Yes, I kept his original name. I figured no reason to confuse him.  He's doing great. No problems to speak of. Very social. Very sweet.

-Erik

Attached are a few photos of our dog Molly Mae. We adopted her as Ingrid in December of 2008.

-Russ, Jackie, and Paul

We love Midnight! He is the sweetest, snuggliest, most laid back dog. He gets along with all other dogs (or tries to), is a breeze at the vet, snuggles up next to us, makes us laugh at least once a day with his antics (including his blanket wrap up, self-inflicted, see picture).  We feel really fortunate to have found him, and are grateful to Paws for the excellent care taken of him before he entered our lives.

-Laura

For the last four months Bobby (formerly Max) has been a part of our family. It took him literally minutes to adjust to his new home and his new best friend Eduardo. As you can see in attached photographs he is growing quickly and is attached to Eduardo's hip.

-Chris and Heather

Just want to let you know that my little pug is doing great! I am so thrilled to have her in my home.
Her name was Fendi when I adopted her, but I changed her name to Mia.

-Holly

Raya is doing great, we completed all her vaccines, she is healthy and playful. We did not change her name by the way.

-Arsun

Shui and Sooty are doing wonderfully.  Their
favorite time is bed time, however, and they sleep right between us.  I can't think you enough for the opportunity.

~Adam

Libby is doing great. The kids love her. She is good, sweet and a goofball. She loves to collect shoes when we are gone and brings them to her bed to sleep with. She also jumps in bed with the kids each night to lay with them and give them good night kisses. In the morning she is the alarm clock. She jumps in bed and wakes them up with kisses. Thanks tons for bringing her into our lives.

-The Kmety Family

Just wanted to let you know that Maya is doing great and living a great life! She just celebrated her 7th birthday and we look forward to many more... We are thinking of getting her a lil brother or sister to play with, so we may be making another visit to PAWS soon.
