Maya Hi PAWS Chicago!
I just wanted to let you know that Maya is doing wonderful! Here is a picture that was taken today. She has grown so much since I adopted her on June 2, 2002. Keep up the great work!

Quinn and Kylie are our angels with tails. They have truly been wonderful members of our family. Quinn was adopted December 1999 and Kylie was adopted January 2001. We have also gotten involved with PAWS as Adoption Counselors. We looked forward to volunteering three times a month, until recently, when we welcomed our first baby into this world. We still plan on volunteering with PAWS, because we enjoy to working with the dogs. - Julia and Richard Fernandez Addy

Tuxedo I adopted Tuxedo in April of 2001 while working for PAWS Chicago. At that time I also had another dog named Jessie. She was a shepherd mix, ten years old, and my best friend. Jessie died of a very aggressive cancer on December 4, 2001. She was diagnosed with cancer only six weeks before. This was total devastation for both me and my husband. It was truly the most difficult, sad time of my life. Tuxedo was there for me. He could not take the pain away, but he did buffer it just enough to make it tolerable.
I used to compete with Jessie in agility matches and now hope to continue this tradition with Tuxedo who is quite talented at it (and currently in agility training). We have grown even closer since Jessie has passed and are becoming quite the team! - Jeanine Sweeney

Hi!
We got Bart from PAWS about one month ago. He is doing fantastic despite his cruel treatment in the past. Bart sleeps every night between his mom and dad on a king size bed!  Bart loves to go to Glendale Heights on the weekends to the doggie park and swim with his friends. Bart is not a fan of dog treats, except Frosty Paws which he gets everyday. He is our bundle of joy. Thank you!

I worked as a volunteer for PAWS Chicago when you first opened on Clark St. and still placed dogs there. My wife, Jenna, and I fell in love with a red Doberman Pinscher, Gabi, which we adopted on August 13, 1998 (almost 4 years!). My landlord evicted us as a consequence, but she was well worth it. We have since added our first two-legged baby, Joseph, born May 30th, seen here with Gabi. They are quickly becoming friends. - Rafi R. Arbel, Attorney at Law

My wife and I went to the PAWS Adoption Center a few months ago and asked which cat had the least chance of ever being adopted. They, without hesitation, pointed out a withdrawn black cat named Shayna. We were surprised that she hadn't been adopted in the many months she lived at the center, because she was very pretty. Mary I want to thank PAWS Chicago for the opportunity they gave me to meet and adopt my little Mary (formerly known as Marief). Despite the age difference, both girls are getting along better than I had expected. Inside of a week they were sharing the same space! What a joy having Mary in our home!

Hi there!
I have adopted two dogs from PAWS. Spirit who I adopted in April of 99 is the Sweetest Dog ever. He was so great that I decided to adopt another dog from PAWS to keep him company. So, I adopted Barkley October 2001. She didn't like Spirit when she first met him, but now they are inseparable. I wanted to THANK YOU for the GREAT JOB you are doing in raising awareness about homeless pets, and trying to help the problem. :)
Spirit and Barkley
I also wanted to THANK PAWS for the 2 wonderful additions to my family. Thanks, Chrissy

Joe Hi PAWS Chicago,
It was all because of Joe, the 3 year old cat I adopted from PAWS, that I met my husband. While waiting for PAWS to open, I went to the Earl of Lochness to have a late lunch. I engaged in a conversation with a visitor from out of town. Little did I know that I would end up marrying him! I fell in love twice that day! Now, we all live together happily in St.
Louis (along with my first cat, Denby), as one big happy family. Thank you, PAWS!

Dear PAWS Chicago,
I was the foster home for “Patty” (now named “Morgan”). After about a week, I decided I couldn’t live without her so I adopted her. Well, she’s been just great since then. We started puppy class last night and she is the star pupil, not to mention that she is also the cutest dog there. Recently, her coat has turned more brownish, from the black it was when I adopted her.  She is also getting big, she probably weighs almost 25
Morgan
pounds. I’m also pretty sure she has some pit bull in her, and that’s what gives her the cute ears she has. I’ve attached a recent picture of her for you to see. I just wanted to drop you a note and give you an update on her and tell you how great she is and how happy we both are.

Jordy First off, I would like to thank you for giving me the best thing that I could ever ask for: Jordy. I adopted her from the Orland Park PETCO this past summer. I was told that she was a loving dog -- well you guys were right. It was a little rough for her at first, but we have made it. All it took was two times at obedience school and she is a charm now. Everyone gets a kick out of how much she enjoys water whether it comes from a hose, hydrant, faucet or wherever. She will stick her whole head in the bucket of water or
chase the water down the driveway when I am spraying it from the hose. She has fit in perfectly and has gained weight. She gets very excited when people come to visit -- she does her psycho runs through the house. She makes me laugh everyday. So once again, "thank you" and keep up the good work!!! - Beth Boni

Just wanted to let you know how my precious Eloise (PAWS name Libby) is doing. We bonded from the first day. She is adorable, smart, adventurous and loves to cuddle. She is everything a cat should be and more. She is so special. She is loved and spoiled, and we are both enjoying being together. She loves to eat and has filled out. I've also sent a donation so you can continue making other people and animals as happy as we are. Thanks PAWS, Fran Karp Eloise

CAsey My name is Casey (Johnny was my PAWS name), I was adopted in August of 1999. I was in several homes before I was adopted by my human mom. I was very skinny (I didn't like to eat), nervous and hyperactive. Now I am very happy living in our new home, which has a yard (I would be happier without the hat!). I have gotten used to my surroundings, I am not so nervous anymore, and I really like to eat now! I have a dog brother too, he was also a rescue dog. We enjoy going up to Wisconsin to visit my human
grandma and grandpa where they own 40 acres - we get to run around like maniacs!  I have found that I have a special talent for agility activities too. Thanks to PAWS for helping me!

Hi PAWS!
We adopted Bela from a PAWS event at Fido's Bakery on a perfect spring day in January! She was the first puppy we saw when we walked in and it took about 2 seconds to decide she was the one. She has been a loving addition to our family.
Thank you!
