Fur Ball

The Fur Ball is the most important event of the year for Chicago's homeless pets, raising the funds that are instrumental to PAWS Chicago's lifesaving operations. While Chicago's homeless pets have come a long way since PAWS Chicago's founding in 1997, when more than 42,000 cat and dogs were killed in the city, nearly 8,000 cats and dogs were still euthanized last year. Events like the Fur Ball are working to change that reality and save the homeless dogs and cats who are at risk. In 2016 PAWS Chicago found homes for 5,125 homeless pets and performed 17,236 spay and neuter surgeries through its Lurie Clinic and GusMobile Spay/Neuter Van and 75 percent of those surgeries were provided for free.

The PAWS Chicago Fur Ball was voted the Best Fundraising Gala
by Make it Better's Best of 2016!
