Spruce's Story
Spruce is an young, handsome guy who loves long walks, plush toys and nylon chew bones. He also likes to entertain himself with Kong toys – preferably filled with lots of peanut butter!
Spruce is active, so he’d be really happy to take daily long walks with you and have daily structured play sessions. He can be home alone for a few hours, but he would also enjoy a dog walker or daycare for part of his day to keep him company while you’re away so that he can expend his energy. A yard where he can run and play would be icing on his cake!
This handsome guy will be happiest as the only pet in the home. He wants to be the star of your show! Spruce is treat-motivated, and so he would love nothing more than to continue his training with you. If you are an experienced owner who lives in a home with older children and you and your family are comfortable playing with a young, active pup to run and play with, you just might be Spruce’s new, loving home.
Meet Spruce
Join us for our Spring Adopt-A-Thon from May 3rd-11th at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center (1997 N. Clybourn Ave)! We will be extending our hours and adding appointments to help many homeless pets find their families this spring. All animals with the "Spring AAT" banner will be at our adoption center ready to meet you! Please note that the adoption fee still applies.
If you are interested in adopting this pet, there are a few steps you must complete before scheduling an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center:
- Please start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they are a good fit for your home.
- After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
- Finally, schedule an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center! During your appointment, you will be able to meet all currently-adoptable animals at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center.
Adoption Process
All PAWS Chicago dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have up-to-date shots based on age and arrival date.
