Sonic's Story
Sonic is a sweet, shaggy guy with bags of personality, looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can respect his boundaries and take introductions at his pace. But once you’ve gained Sonic’s trust, you’ll be tickled by his goofy, playful antics, and his love of belly rubs and ear scritches! Sonic’s foster says he also has a super cute way to beg for more belly rubs when he wants them, joining both paws in a little prayer and waving them till you resume petting him!
Sonic also loves training, so lots of positive reinforcement and a peanut butter-filled Kong will go a long way with this boy. And despite his size, Sonic loves long walks and exercise; seeing him race around after his rope toys and tennis balls, you’ll swear this little guy is “Super Sonic”!
Are you Sonic’s new family? This young man is housebroken, can entertain himself playing with his toys and loves to snuggle with you all night. So, if you’re a fairly experienced dog owner, have a calm home that can welcome him at his own pace, and you don’t have a resident dog, then this super cute boy could be the pup for you!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!
