Renee Flores
“You'll fall in love every time you're at PAWS. But that's ok. That doesn't mean they all have to come home with you. PAWS is a loving and safe place for them.”
After shifting her career from therapist to photographer, Renee Flores found she had more flexible hours and more opportunities to volunteer with one of her favorite organizations—PAWS!
From fostering at home to volunteering at the Lincoln Park Adoption Center and now, primarily helping out at the Medical Center, Renee has done it all. And she’s even found a way to combine her passions.
“I love taking photos of the animals. I try to capture their interesting features and personalities when I can. Plus, I can meet all the cuties.”
Renee’s photography has made a huge impact in the lives of PAWS pets, helping show them in their best light to potential adopters online.
“The ambition of No Kill is so important. I love all the efforts made to find not just any home, but the home for every dog and cat.”
One of Renee’s favorite memories is helping her friend, Annie, foster and eventually adopt a PAWS cat named Sebastian.
“She even kept his name! They’ve been very happy together for several years now.”
But every animal and adoption stands out in its own way.
“You'll fall in love every time you're at PAWS. But that's ok. That doesn't mean they all have to come home with you. PAWS is a loving and safe place for them.”
