Merlin's Story

Merlin is a very sweet and shy boy, who loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and snuggling with his peeps. Merlin already knows lots of commands, like “sit, stay, come, paw”, plus he’s also housetrained, crate trained and does very well in the home. And he is also a clever pup, who’d benefit from positive reinforcement and enrichment, like puzzle feeders and Kongs, to help him settle into his new home and keep him mentally stimulated, as he is also a smart boy!

Merlin is really a big softy, so while he may look a big boy, he is rather timid and shy. He would do well with a predictable schedule and environment and would benefit from a patient and understanding family who can help him feel secure.

Are you Merlin’s new family? If you are happy to be a little patient, and can offer this super sweet, cuddle bug stability and time to settle into your home, and don’t have any resident pets, you are just the home Merlin is looking for! So come and let Merlin cast his magic spell on you, he’s a super boy just waiting for his own knight in shining armour to welcome him home!

Meet Merlin

Merlin can’t wait to meet you!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:

1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.

3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.

Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!

Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
