Clifton's Story
In search of a furry friend with looks and brains? Meet Clifton! Sure, Clifton’s got those gorgeous steel blue eyes and foxlike features, but he’s more than just a pretty face. He’s energetic, playful, and enjoys mental stimulation as well as physical. A natural social butterfly, Clifton loves greeting neighbors on walks. He may also like a canine pal, as long as he’s given time to warm up to them.
Clifton loves being active! Have space for a sweet pup to run around in? He couldn't be happier. And after all that activity, he loves a good lounge in a quiet adults-only home or a home with families with older children. You'll know he's content when he rolls over for belly rubs!
If you have a penchant for dog food, Clifton might take offense, he prefers keeping his food to himself. But we all have our quirks-right? Clifton is a wonderful addition to any home and would love to spend time training with you. Calling all hikers, runners, and perhaps future Iditarod participants - Clifton is looking for you!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:
1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!
