Dinky's Story
Dinky is a sweet and spunky young guy who who appreciates taking his time as he builds relationships with human friends. One might say he’s a bit old fashioned that way. He is super smart and hopes for a family who can commit to training to help Dinky become the best version of himself! Your patience and work will be rewarded with a loyal canine companion!

There is nothing better than the help of a stress-free and loving home for pets who are healing from illness or injury. That’s why we created Help Me Heal, a foster-to-adopt program. Dinky is currently healing from an ear infection. But Dinky doesn't have to wait in the shelter while he is healing - he can go to his future adopter's home through our Help Me Heal foster-to-adopt program. By choosing to foster and then adopt you’re helping Dinky transition into a forever family more quickly and with less anxiety. During the Help Me Heal foster period, PAWS even covers all medical care and medicine until your pet is medically cleared for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, there are few steps you must complete before scheduling an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center:
1. Please start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to their needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. Finally, schedule an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center! During your appointment, you’ll be able to meet all currently adoptable animals at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center and walk through the adoption process with our staff and volunteers. Appointments are not required but encouraged for a more efficient visit.
Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet during your first visit to the Adoption Center, please feel free to schedule another appointment.
