Ashley's Story
Ashley is an incredibly affectionate lady, who’s been described as a “canine cat” as once she’s comfortable with you, she’ll be winding around you to get plenty of pets and ‘butt scritches’! Ashley is a ‘home ready’ gal, as she’s housetrained, crate trained and knows a whole host of commands, like sit, stay and come. She’s also very playful and walks well on her leash and would love a yard or garden to romp in too, as she’s still an active girl.
Ashley would thrive in a calm, quiet home and environment, as she can be a bit nervous with new people and situations, so she is hoping her forever family can welcome her at her own pace. Ashley would do best with adults only, or with older children as she appreciates a quieter environment, and she would prefer to be the only pet too.
Ashley would definitely benefit from enrichment activities that could also help build her confidence and the relationship with her new family, but once she’s warmed up Ashley is delightful, and will reward you with all her love and affection!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:
1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!
