Bourbon's Story
Bourbon has been described as an extremely gentle soul. Bourbon can get a little anxious at times, as the human world intimidates him a bit, but with time and patience, he would love to get to know you. His favorite thing to do has been to find a comfy spot where he can look out the window at home; he enjoys spending his days snoozing and people watching out the windows. Bourbon is definitely more of a homebody, only needing a few short walks a day at most.
Are you Bourbon’s new family? Bourbon is happy to live wherever you are, preferring to be around adults and older children. Bourbon needs an owner that will be patient with him as he adjusts to a new home life. He is good to be home alone for several hours a day, as he is pretty independent. He is willing to be around other pets, as long as he is given adequate time to adjust. So, if you are looking for a calm, gentle pup to accompany you at home, Bourbon may just be the one for you!
Meet Bourbon
Bourbon can’t wait to meet you!
If you’re interested in adopting this pet, there are few steps you must complete before scheduling an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center:
1. Please start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to their needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. Finally, schedule an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center! During your appointment, you’ll be able to meet all currently adoptable animals at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center and walk through the adoption process with our staff and volunteers. Appointments are not required but encouraged for a more efficient visit.
Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet during your first visit to the Adoption Center, please feel free to schedule another appointment.
Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
