Cascabel's Story

Type of Foster Home:

Cascabel would love a foster home while she waits to get adopted! Cascabel is looking for a break from shelter life! She's super smart, energetic, and a wonderful companion in the home. Looking for a running buddy? A dog that likes to train? A pup with a goofy smile? Foster Cascabel! She's looking for a low-traffic home, and, depending on the dog, may do well with a companion in the home.

How to Foster Cascabel:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and completing the Foster Care Application. Veteran foster parents can email acfoster@pawschicago.org to schedule a pickup appointment.

Cascabel is available for foster pick-up through the Adoption Center at 1997 N. Clybourn Ave.

Meet Cascabel

Cascabel can’t wait to meet you!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:

1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.

3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.

Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!

Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
